Heavy rain and gales in exposure this morning before clearing circa 1030. Then
some warm sunshine (10-11C) then some showers then more sun and then a line of
torrential showers around 1545 driving back on an exposed high road near Hound
Tor circa 300m asl. Temperature plummeted from 7C to 3.5C in minutes and rain
turned to hail and then sleet. Car was buffeted by gale force gusts and just as
it was getting interesting the squall line passed through and temperature
recovered to 5C.

Thanks goodness our walk had finished before that squall hit :-)
Total rainfall so far today in Haytor - 24 mm.

Yet more interesting weather, I'm beginning to like this raging zonality.
