"Weatherlawyer"
... Any system geared up to give degrees of whatsit in the use of Windows is perilously close to inept. Corruption belongs to those who can't. (Those that can use Linux.) The funny thing is, Jonathan's at what used to be known as UKC, the University of Kent. When I was there doing my CS degree a few years ago there was a lovely room full of Sun machines, which must have cost a fortune. They were there as the university was a "Java certified campus", apparently - but barely anyone used them. It was quite amusing to be in there doing some work and having someone come in, log on to Solaris and ask where the Start button was, or why they couldn't find Word! Apologies for veering OT, although I wonder if Sun has ever thought about supplying machines to the Met Office? :-P |
