Default Sleet- does this count ?

After a foggy start and temps hovering at 1c just had a heavy but
brief shower, some sleet observed, spotted falling on car windscreen
parked in drive !!

Timed at 1151hrs Temp was 2.5c

Does this count as white christmas ?

It certainly counts as a "day of snow falling" as far as COL is
concerned. If you're a bookie it's time to cough up, I'm afraid.
Grey, very gloomy, mildish amd wet down here.

Yes, sleet always counted in my day - as long as the temperature was
realistic.

We drew the line at one punter who insisted we counted a hail shower,
even though the temperature was +6C. I think he had a few hundred on a
bet.
