After a day of mod to heavy snow showers then a wee thaw, the odd break etc
the showers are merging and accumulation has begun. Just back from a trip into town and was making fresh tracks on the main road. I then took the dog across the valley floor, mistake. The wind was stiff and the snow horizontal. I was bent double on the way back as my eyes and face were being pierced by thousands of little ice daggers (you can see I am getting carried away). As I look outside now, it's a whiteout and the radar looks tasty. calling Comrie/Wishaw/Whistlefield update.. brian aberfeldy temp around 0 C all day. |

Two periods of light to moderate snow showers lasting no more than 30 mins. Slight thaw, accumulation about 1cm (if I look hard). The 1600 radar looks much more active, but still not seeing any real action. Glen Ogle shows temp -2.6 @ 1500, we have 0 - +1, about what I would expect. Not particulary windy, more like the odd blustery breeze from a gust front. Cheers John |

Light snow showers today in Wishaw, with a near equal thaw in between.
Heavier and more prolonged in the last hour, we have around a 1 or 2 cm cover now. Timelapse footage shows a few flurries, hopefully a white scene in the morning.
