Light snow covering survived today above 470m asl on the high moor. Thin and icy
2-5cms. A lot of black ice on the moorland roads this morning, even the B roads. Almost pranged my car as I hit a patch going round a bend and just about stopped before running into a bank, fortunately I was aware of the conditions and was only doing 25 mph, but even so it took me by surprise. Air temperature was +1C. Rain and hill fog rolled in this afternoon, making it a dismal end to my 12 mile stroll.
