Just had a look at the latest pressure chart forecast for tomorrow. Looks
like we're in for some particularly rough weather in Southampton tomorrow,
with very heavy rain and potentially damaging winds.

I don't like the look of that low heading into the North Sea on Wednesday,
is there any danger to the East Coast from a tidal flooding perspective ?

Yep :-) The railway line at Sway (between Brockenhurst and Bournemouth)
was closed for about 6 hours yesterday due to flooding. Luckily for me,
I managed to be on the first train through.

Yep,

Probably need to look at a different news server, as it's taken over 24hrs
to get here !

Back to the original Q, I was a bit worried about the track the low may have
taken, and subsequent storm surge risk on east coast (as opposed to
southampton) , but all seems - luckily - less severe than forecast.
