It's excellent golfing weather :-) Aren't the course and greens waterlogged after all this rain? Will -- |

12Z FAX for Thursday T+108 shows cold front through with sub-528DAM air behind. GFS has a large area sub -5C at 850 hPa. Trough approaching SW in cold air which will give a short spell of snow on Dartmoor. Gets milder again on Friday so a one day wonder re snow but temperatures recovering to near normal, i.e around 6-7C. Sub 510 Dam air is being pushed south of 50N in western Atlantic and although that will warm up considerably by the time it reaches here, we will have lost the 546 DAM air by then for a few days. Even ours fairways are getting squidgy and we've only had 37mm so far this month. Dave, S.Essex |

My course was closed due to waterlogging today :-( . Yesterday here was
beautiful - it was 7.8 oC max at 14:00 but no wind - spent the day in the garden clearing up - very spring like. Today would be great golfing weather - no wind, no sun, 6.7oC at 15:00 but course closed . Hillsborough, N.I. 420' asl. !!! "Dave Cornwell" wrote in message .uk... "Will Hand" wrote in message ... Our course doesn't get muddy and there was no standing water on the greens. I played on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday this week and didn't need waterproofs on any of the days. Cloudy weather is better than sunny weather at this time of year due to the low sun angle. Norman. -- Norman Lynagh Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire 85m a.s.l. (remove "thisbit" twice to e-mail) |

Dave, S.Essex I have had 82mm in St Albans but the ground is very free draining - one of the benefits of living on gravelly soil. The Batchwood golf course was in full use this morning without any obvious pools of water. The main problem would be the drizzle that has started again this afternoon. Alan St Albans |

Horrible weather isn't it! There's always next year I guess... Richard |

Suits me fine - have been struggling with a virus of late and at least the mild weather makes it more pleasant going out. It would be hell going out in 1c and 10mph wind at the moment...
