Default All doom and gloom

Sorry for drifting off topic in my last post. As a recompense this
post is on topic.

The Met Office have just released their final forecast for this
winter. See http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/...7_8/index.html

As the subject of this post states, if you are hoping for snow, it is
all doom and gloom :-(

Cheers, Alastair.

That was worse than I was expecting...why oh why do we bother.

There's more false hope on this newsgroup at the beginning of every
winter than there is in the stands at St James's Park!

Does anyone know the way to Beachy Head?

I think the Samaritans have set up camp there to prevent the jumpers.

You can't even jump off a cliff without being hassled.

Nice and 'mild' here in Devon with the a few sunny intervals.

Currently (12:30), 12.0C, RH 82%, DP 8.8C, 1025.2 hPa (R), Wind 8 mph SW.

No... that can't be right... I'm sure I read elsewhere that our 'friend',
Monsignor Corbyn (who has never knowingly got his predictions wrong) was
forcasting something more akin to the little ice age... I mean, I've got my
big coat and sledge all at the ready!

Please, please, please Mr Corbyn... please tell the MO that they've got it
all wrong and those of us hanging on to your every word about the snow will
not be disappointed... please!

DAVID
