Too nice to be at work. Daylight max. +8.1C (rather mild). Dry apart from a very slight sleety shower (reliably informed) this morning. Sunny spells. Now almost SKC temp +2.6C and falling. DP -1C. Surfaces dry!!! I haven't been able to say that for a long time. One or two daffs just starting to poke through the soil, probably encouraged by the warm sunshine. Aye, it were a good 'un.
A max of 10.8C in the early afternoon sunshine. Two dry days on the trot, can't be bad. Managed to climb up into the silver maple tree in the garden this afternoon and lop a few branches off which were obstructing a bit of the horizon to the R&D sunshine sensor on the roof. Temperature dropping fast now though. Currently (18:20), 3.6C, RH 74%, DP -0.3C, 1035.1 hPa (R), Wind calm WSW, 5.2 hours of sunshine today. ________________ Nick G Otter Valley, Devon 83 m amsl http://www.ottervalley.co.uk |

LOL Graham. My daffs are not the early variety and they usually start flowering mid-late March. One clump is now 1.5 inches above the soil, IIRC they normally start to poke through late Jan/ early Feb so they are not early or late in that behaviour this year. Primroses looking nice now.
