Default [WR] Is it January?

Today has got to have been one of the most glorious January days ever. Felt
more like March/April.

Deep blue, cloudless skies all day and warm sunshine after a chilly start.
Today's max was 11.6C. It felt very warm in the sunshine as it was virtually
windless most of the day. Just a the odd light breeze around the middle of
the day (max wind 5 mph).

A total of 8h 56 mins of sunshine today is nearly 100% of the theoretical
total. Monthly total now stands at 55.1 hours.

Walking on Dartmoor was superb. Caught the sun on my face and arms. Going
off a tad nippy now.

Currently (18:05), 5.3C, RH 84%, DP 3.0C, 1035.3 hPa (S), Wind 1 mph SSE.

I got a tad sunburned yesterday. Glad you enjoyed your walk!

I thought that I was joking yesterday when I said that you could tell
Cornish people by their having tans in January. Clearly that must now be
expanded to include Devonians as well.

Equally good here in Bournemouth. I saw a butterfly flying around my
fifth-floor balcony in the afternoon. I even had to open the windows as
it was getting too warm inside!

Make the most of it Will, it doesn't happen very often that Haytor is warmer
by day than the subtropics of the Otter Valley!!

I noticed on the car thermometer that it got warmer the higher up we drove.

By the time we left Dartmoor the sun had set and it was 9C as we set off, as
we drove home this dropped to 6C in the lower parts and back up to 9C on the
hills along the A38.
