KNMI synoptic archives
KNMI has been the only source of archive midday synoptic charts that include fronts. UK Met Office archives are for midnight only. Now my link to KNMI archives no longer works. I can get the KNMI home page OK (and the short range forecast charts) but can't find any archives. Help please. Jack |

Very useful site indeed, and goes back a few years IIRC. Can be a bit temperamental at times, but should work. Richard |

This site has DWD analyses going back to 2004 and at six hour intervals. http://www.wetter3.de/Archiv/archiv_dwd.html -- Mike Tullett - Coleraine 55.13°N 6.69°W posted 28/01/2008 18:23:11 GMT |

That's it - many thanks to both correspondents. None else really need
reply. I've got all I need (albeit not the KNMI) - and very useful those Met Office charts are. I am only normally interested in midday archives so have bookmarked the MetOffice charts: http://homepages.see.leeds.ac.uk/~le...0_analysis.gif which in the noon chart for 1st January this year. Then it's easy to change the 080101 to whatever date I want. Note for anyone else interested, the date format is yymmdd Jack |
