Started snowing here around 1100, hasn't really stopped since but is now
easing back a bit. Radar indicates that most has gone through, prehaps another short period in a couple of hours time. It's fine and powdery stuff so is blowing and drifting well in the F4 to F5 NW'ly wind. Visibilty drops below 200m at times but the wind isn't quite strong enough for it to be classed as a real blizzard. Primary School closed at 1230, the normal 20 min bus journey took 40. Very difficult to see out of most of our windows due to the snow plastered against them. -- Cheers Dave. |
