WSW F4 40km 1Cu030 4Ci200 +8.8/-2.0 1002 Cirrus S****atus Max temp +9.3. Reading high perhaps due to siting, but bitterly cold, I think not. BBC South presenter at 1340 said a sunny afternoon, but bitterly cold. Pleased to see that snow being reported up North and by Will. Doubt that I will see anything here tonight. Very little sympathy for the Met. Office, my former employer. Service from them has been going steadily downhill for a number of years. IMHO it was a mistake to close the Weather Centres. There are also too few observations from manned stations. Good to see reports on the newsgroup though from so many dedicated observers. I wonder if such reports are ever looked at by M.O. presenters?
