Default Lack of January air frosts

We had none here at Reading, and according to
http://www.met.rdg.ac.uk/~brugge/PREV.html
there were none at

Ronaldsway
Bridlington
Marham
Brize Norton
St Athan
Heathrow
several sites in Cornwall
Plymouth
Solent MRSC
Guernsey Airport
Valentia

(assuming my program is working OK)

Unsurprisingly, none here in Bournemouth either - first time in my records
going back to '96.

My (uncalibrated) VP2 recorded a mere -0.7 at 06Z on the 3rd, and (barely
worth mentioning) -0.1 around 05Z on the 11th, and -0.3 around 07Z on the
22nd. As previously discussed on usw, there were some mild nights.
Rainfall was 104mm compared with 65mm from 30-yr average of nearest MetO
stations.

Quite wild here today, gust of 40kt at 1427Z, occasional driving hail but no
snow (just a very brief flurry at 1515Z yesterday).

Just 3h40m below freezing here, all month - tonight looks likely to
exceed that on its own.
