In Kingston, ON at 11:00 am EST it is minus 3C with a NE wind and
blowing snow, while only 600 km to the south in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania it was +21C and sunny at 11 am. The counterclockwise circulation has drawn up unusually warm air far to the north. In the Midwest and Ohio Valley this battle between warm and cold produced nearly 70 tornadoes. Bob |
