Temp: 9.1C rising rapidly! Weather: Sunny, recent fog lifted up from "down below" Vis: 3 miles looking down, 20 miles looking across the moor Min: 2.8C at 0140 and 0700, extensive dew giving 0.3 mm rain This is like an early May morning but without the leaves. Will certainly exceed 10C today and may be my warmest day of the year if it beats 11.8C The ice cream vans in the moorland car parks will be onto a winner today as will sellers of sun lotion, shades and bikinis :-) Will. -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A COL BH site in East Dartmoor at Haytor, Devon 310m asl (1017 feet). mailto: www: http://www.lyneside.demon.co.uk/Hayt...antage_Pro.htm DISCLAIMER - All views and opinions expressed by myself are personal and do not necessarily represent those of my employer. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

A max of 13.9C here this afternoon and an amazing 9.5 hours of sunshine, which is just about as much as I could be recorded and something like 95% of the possible. Just come back from a long walk from Burgh Island to the Erme Estuary and back via Kingston and Ringmore. Absolutely stunning weather, strong unbroken sunshine and no wind made it a t-shirt and shorts walk. Got a sunburnt face now. Will it be as nice tomorrow? Taking a walk up the southern edge of Dartmoor tomorrow. Currently (19:40), 6.1C, RH 81%, DP 3.0C, 1030.4 hPa (R), Wind 3 mph E. ________________ Nick G Otter Valley, Devon 83 m amsl http://www.ottervalley.co.uk |

Nick,
Likely to be some mist and fog around early on but then clearing to hazy sunshine. I expect it to be hazier than today and a couple of degrees colder. That means a max. at 300m asl of around 8-9C (which is still a couple of degrees above normal, so mild). I too have been out all day, hacking down some trees, (well I need my logs :-) ). I am now more suntanned. Looking cold later next week with maxes of around 4-5C on Dartmoor. Now at 2130 2.3C. Will -- "Nick Gardner" wrote in message ... I think we may have some colder air advecting in now as sky has been clear all evening but temperature has only just decided to fall quickly. Will -- |
