Just got back from a walk on Dartmoor. Parked near Kestor and spent the day
walking around on the moor. Beautiful day, hazy to the south but most of the
high cloud appeared to be contrails that seemed to account for half the sky
cover. These masked the sun a little, taking a bit of strength out of it but
it still felt warm as there was no wind. Another T-shirt job and after
yesterday's sunshine, my face is well and truly suntanned now!

I find the pollution of the sky by aircraft depressing. Pristine blue skies
seem a thing of the past as the sky is now always criss-crossed by
contrails, sometimes 100's of them and they spread out turning the sky milky
in parts.

Oddly, today in the Otter Valley was warmer than yesterday with a max of
14.3C and 8.8 hours of sunshine.

Currently (20:30), 4.0C, RH 75%, DP 0.4C, 1031.8 hPa (S), Wind 2 mph ENE.

Hey Nick, what time were you at Kestor? We were there at about 1145 on our way
across to Stonetor. Stopped to admire the rock basin, which was still quite
full. I too was in a tee-shirt but had to put a fleece on late afternoon as the
east wind picked up a bit and the temperature fell. Know what you mean about a
tan I am almost my normal Spring colour now of pale brown.

Indeed. Generally it was more hazy today anyway though.

Hey Nick, what time were you at Kestor?

We were there around 11:45 as well. I was with my wife and sister.

Another glorious day though not quite as warm as yesterday but still good
with a max of 13.8C.
