Default [WR]Murky day in York

Cold nasty day here. Vis about 800M and current temp. -1.7C. Min last night
was -5.0C; not quite as cold as previous two nights .. but at least they
were followed by sunny days.

It never went below plus 1.6c here in southwest Essex under a pall of
stratus and fog ,which has now lifted and bathing us in a temp of 7.6c, No

Hi, John,
Fog top clearly visible from here. We've been in sun all day with a
max of 7.4C and 8.5hr to 1550Z. Much of the Vale of York and
Darlington area has been below 0C all day, some reporting highs of
just -3C eg Dishforth, Topcliffe, Linton.
I think the fog is making a move towards us now from the SE ):0(
