There are some interesting differences to my February
record. The highest max was 16.4° on the 10th with 14.9° on the 9th,
15.1° on the 11th and 14.4° on the 12th. The mean diurnal range of
8.4° here was by far the greatest for any February (25 years).
Because of this warmth, which is partly "screen effect", I suspect,
the mean monthly temperature was 5.9°C, 0.8° higher than Guildford
despite the altitude difference.

My max were
9th 13.2c
10th 12.7c
11th 11.7c
12th 10.3c

all quite a bit below yours Tudor i.e 4c lower on the 12th.

The Vantage Pro gets the sun up until about 12z in the Winter on my site-
and all of these Maxima occurred at around 14/15/16z well after the sun has
left the site. I guess and screen affect in the morning was limited by the
frosty nights. I'm used to having lower max than those around, but 4c seems
a bit much! (thought.. did have FZFG on the 12th here which may explain some
of it)

I'm reading 10.4c just now at 1535Z

Phil
