Max gust only 26 kn at 0345z. There were much stronger winds earlier this month. I haven't been out but with 12.5 mm of rain since 0400z I should think there's a lot of nuisance flooding on the roads. (Note: Cold front has just gone through with max gust 28 kn at 0910z). 24-HR STATISTICS Max (0900-0900z): 10.6 at 1535z Min (0900-0900z): 2.3 at 2310z Grass min (1500-0900z): -1.1 Rain (0900-0900z): 12.5 mm Norman. -- Norman Lynagh Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire 85m a.s.l. Only a couple of gusts above 20 kn since then so the wind has been a bit of a non-event here, at least so far. The rain is a different story. It's persisted for much of the day, sometimes heavy. There's been about 20 mm since 0400z causing a lot of nuisance flooding on the roads. Norman. -- Norman Lynagh Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire 85m a.s.l. (remove "thisbit" twice to e-mail) |
