We've recenty had an old-style wintry shower - temperature had got up
to 7 (after a 2.6 minimum) before the moderate shower of soft hail followed by rain, sleet, more soft hail and finally wet snow with large flakes but no accumulation. Temperature fell back to around 3.5 deg C (maybe lower, my working thermometer reacts quite slowly) but now is rising steadily in afternoon sunshine. Can't call it a nice day though because of the strong Northerly. -- Dave Fareham (West) |
