Default Desktop Earth

I've been searching for quite a while for a desktop display
(wallpaper) that emulates those geochron clock displays you
occasionally see in boardrooms and elsewhere.

I have now found Desktop Earth and it is far better than most other
Earth image desktops I've tried, and completely free of cost (and
spyware).

The day/night image can be updated every three minutes, but the
Earth's surface image update is only monthly and the cloud images can
be 3 hours out of date. However, the display is stunning, especially
the night images. The images look especially impressive on the dual
wide-screen monitor set-up I have at work.

Download it at:

http://www.download.com/Desktop-Eart...-10513308.html

I have no connection with the software and as download.com is a well-
known and trusted site, there will be no problems with viruses and
other annoyances.

Thank you for the lead - ditto here on the search.
