Graham No snow here either though Will says there's some above 250m on Dartmoor. I saw a few big flakes fall earlier. Lovely and sunny now but a tad nippy (3.6C). ________________ Nick G Otter Valley, Devon 83 m amsl http://www.ottervalley.co.uk |

I understand that there was lying snow at Teignmouth and Dawlish at sea level briefly. Also driving though Bovey Tracey this morning there was some snow on shed roofs etc. Massive shower over Haldon hills above Teignmouth at 1700, looked very heavy from my house. Day max. +4.9 in Haytor. Will -- |

I understand that there was lying snow at Teignmouth and Dawlish at sea level briefly. No snow at all here in the Otter Valley. Had a few flakes of snow mixed in amongst a light hail/rain shower but generally it has been sunny most of the day. Dark, threatening clouds passed to our west and east and wonderful mammatus formations as well (see picture link). http://www.btinternet.com/~nickgardn...6thApr2008.jpg Reached a max of 8.9C in the sunshine. ________________ Nick G Otter Valley, Devon 83 m amsl http://www.ottervalley.co.uk |

Occasional snow showers here this afternoon feeding down from the north. Proper flakes at times too. Nothing settled. Interesting reading all the reports and comparing them to the forecasts from early yesterday. Tomorrow looks like another 'fun' day.. e.g. Birmingham and Heathrow :- EGBB 061623Z 070024 31010KT 9999 SCT030 PROB40 TEMPO 0011 2000 SHSN BKN004 TEMPO 1119 3000 SHRASN SHGS BKN014CB PROB30 TEMPO 1219 1400 SHSN BKN004 BECMG 2124 VRB05KT= EGLL 061624Z 070024 28010KT 9999 SCT035 TEMPO 0003 2500 -SN BKN008 TEMPO 0310 4000 BR -SN BKN012 TEMPO 1018 3000 SHRASN SHGS BKN020CB PROB30 TEMPO 1118 TSRASN BECMG 1720 22006KT= Not bad for April.
