Its looking like the much waited for "good weather" (at least for the
southern half of Britain) is not materialising as well as it was once anticipated. Is a virtual collapse to altantic mobility hiding in there somewhere? A definite downsizing and an extremely cautious approach is apparent on the latest TV weather tonight. How dissapointing for me, if not for the majority here who seem not to like nice settled weather (all gardeners I guess). This Thursday, it said last week, there was supposed to be a nice southerly with a High, of sorts, moving over France and this expectation grew over this past weekend, even Will emitted it from his cave on the tors but now onward fronts from the west seem to be the latest hint. Maybe not the first 21C then after all then. Waits with abated breath for Darren in the morning. -- resident BBC shill and media sentry: t'wit [sticky quote about me from Weatherlawyer] "DaveR" [westLondon] |

I read out Philip Eden's comments from the back of the Sunday Telegraph to the Mrs and we have both been looking forward to a couple of warmer days. Looks like we are going to have to wait a while now - perhaps mid May R |

Probably another cold spell at the beginning of May, before spring arrives in Mid-May. -- Joe Egginton Wolverhampton 175m asl |

Told everyone is was going to be a great weekend! Dave- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - Could be right Dave, this has been quite an on-off-on thing over the course of the last 10 days. The early weekend doesn't look as warm as it did yesterday, or the day before!. Like I wrote a few days ago, there are times when 2 days is a long tome in forecasting. It can be terribly difficult for professionals, with forecasting particular events at 5 days, never mind for us amateurs at 10 days+! Paul |
