Default What the flaming hell is going on?

Why is the Jetstream so far south this year? It seems to be diving in from
the Atlantic across Spain and then veers northwards again.

I was led to beleive that with climate change the jet would be moving
northwards, No wonder our weather is crap, along with most of Spain and
France I hear.

Any signs of a change on the horizon?

Regards.

Len.

Thats because much of the "science" of climate change is a political
construct. How could that affect the jet streams.

Yes, as usual it's all the fault of the Tories; darn that Marquess of
Salisbury!

Eventually :-)

It's still spring, not summer, I'd be more concerned about the summer if
we were having wall to wall sunshine down here in April & May, like last
year, and we all know what the summer brought then!

Presumably not all of Spain? The Independent reported a few days ago
that Barcelona was in the grip of a severe drought with drinking water
being imported.

Barcelona Airport since the 16th May.
16th 26th
- 0.1 - 0.3 - - 1.2 - 3.0 0.6 4.3mm

Another 2mm today.

I was surprised to see that amounts have not been much.

But other parts of Spain have been quite wet.

Tortosa
16.4 1.1 4.1 10.3 - - TR 10.2 30.8 16.8 0.9mm

Even Sevilles had over an inch.
