Temp 19.3

Very pleasant again outside.

Too pleasant in fact. Took the dinghy out for the first time this season on
the Exe this morning and capsized in a NNW force 4 off Lympstone. Obviously
too strong for my capabilities. Mind you, the water didn't feel cold,
although I did have a short wet suit on and a buoyancy aid. I must admit the
wind caught me a bit by surprise, I was expecting a 3 in the river as per
the observations before I set off. Max. sustained wind turned out to be
circa 14 knots in fact around the time I capsized according to the Starcross
yacht club anemometer at 10m height ( http://www.starcrossyc.org.uk ). So
there you go, proof if ever of the need for inshore waters forecasts.

Certainly not. I was in 2 metres of water today, neap tides.
