Whilst staying just NW of Diss at 1715 local on 15 June there followed
an hour long significant thunderstorm with heavy rain and squally wind. Though Met Office site officially quote wettest place in East Anglia as Andrewsfield (0.8mm) I note that on the Web, Tivetshall just NE of Diss reported a total of 6.1mm. Significant echo was well documented on radar. Later, 5 miles to S brought us to dry roads as it was all the way back to Mid Suffolk where there has been no measureable rainfall for last 4 days, though several 'few spots' events noted. NSS |
