![]() "Keith (Southend)" wrote in message ... Well, it's not looking good if you're a sun and heat lover for this summer, now we're into July and high pressure seems to be avoiding us like the plague. Is this goning to be two years in a row, something not unusual, of grim summer weather? Of course, it may pick up for August, one can only hope. -- Keith (Southend) http://www.southendweather.net e-mail: kreh at southendweather dot net The omens are not good; Philip Eden has mentioned in his monthly synoptic overviews that there has been higher than average pressure over Greenland in each of the last 3 months, and this month has continued to show high pressure in the Iceland/Greenland region, so far.Clearly, this means that depression tracks will continue to follow routes further south than usual and no settled spells for Britain - although Scotland often fares well in these situations. Some sources seem to suggest that the weather will improve after mid-month - I shall believe it when it happens.
