Heathrow had two TS. Two aircraft were broken of approaches and several
diverted to Gatwick. It was quite noticeable how much lighter the showers
were S of the Thames - Guildford included. I was quite surprised even after
all the deluges at the airport (see image from TWR take 3mins apart from a
shower moving in from the West www.layton.me.uk/image6.gif) that the M25
south of Cherstsey at J12 was bone dry.
