the 23.9 on 3 June but now, 9.4 and 28.6 in two successive days).

'Twas the late afternoon thunderstorm(s) after a day of rain or heavy
showers that finally pushed it so high on Monday.

I took full advantage when it dried up in the evening - digging my
stony garden over was much much easier in these conditions!

Wow, that's an astonishing total, Dave. You received
more rain on Monday than I have all month so far. Of
note, Romsey remains thunder-free this summer.
