Default [WR] Bolton - Cool Day

It's gone 1pm and so far I've managed to struggle up to 13.3C. It's cloudy,
it's breezy but at least the showers appear to have stopped.
Call this summer??

Looking at the max temps so far on
http://www.weatheronline.co.uk/weather.html
it wouldn't surprise me if nowhere in the country reached 20C today, that
must
be fairly unsusual for July.

Hi, Col,
I suppost it's all relative, but it feels warm today at 15C with sunny
intervals after yesterday's continuous rain and 11.6C high! Off to the
theatre now to watch No1 daughter perform - inside today so taking no
risks even though the showers seem to have stopped. My friends'
outdoor Shakespeare performance on Wednesday evening was a washout but
I did manage to give them a correct forecast of dry Thursday and
Friday evenings although by the skin of teeth. Tonight's looking OK as
well, but cool.

Told me what, that I was going to get a very cool day in
the middle of July?
That's rich coming from you, calling me for moaning
with one little comment when all you have been doing for
weeks is moan about your weather being bad and making
snide comments about those in the SW.

Yes, finally 'topped out' at a whopping 14.1C!
It was never going to be great today but I was expecting some sun
this afternoon after the early showers.
The interest for tonight will be whether I get lower than the 8.1C min
I recorded on the 4th, my gut feeling says no but it will be close.
Tomorrow, much better some sun especially in the morning and the
possibility of only my 3rd 20C day this month!

Today has been a typical' cool summer's day'. A sunny start, but cloud soon
building, very little sun from late morning. After lunch the cloud grew
more threatening and we had brief showers( but not enough to impress the
rain gauge) and this evening it is still overcast. Max today 16.5c and I
had to put on a jumper to do some weeding in the garden. I keep looking at
the models for next week, but remain unconvinced that there will be a
change in the weather. The present weather pattern is going to take some
shifting.

I was in Tideswell, Derbyshire today - about 300m a.s.l. At around 2
p.m. the car thermometer was showing 11c. With a Force 4 wind blowing
it felt quite fresh :-)
