Just noticed (probably rather belatedly) that a new rain radar site at
Old Buckenham (SW of Norwich) and covering much of East Anglia was due
to become operational during 2008. Anyone know if this has happened
yet or, if not, when it might be added to the rainfall network?

..... I understand that the proposed date is currently 2009/2010 after
agreements have been secured with Anglian Water and the EA. There's
usually a press release on the Met Office web site when new radar
units are brought in to the network, so it's worth keeping an eye on
that source.
