Not quite warm enough for the bigger bet to come in, but a few quid up, following yesterday's max temp, nevertheless! I wonder whether 30.9C will end up the warmest UK temp of 2008? Portland 10 mm is listed on http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/weather/extremes/ but the list of decoded synods I look at http://www.vwkweb.nl/cms/index.php?o...per&Itemid=109 gives 0.6 mm for Portland. As these totals are for the period up to 18Z, any rain since then should not be included anyway. Colin Youngs Brussels |
