Default Forecast of low pressure dominance 12th August

Here's another forecast that I'd been hoping could be different, but
the straws got all soggy and rotted..... 8((

At T240, on 12th August, the UK's weather will be dominated by low
pressure. The only possible respite could be in a weak ridge of high
pressure, before the next low approaches from the Atlantic. After some
warmer weather tues-thurs next week, the weather is set to be cooler
and wetter, in the days before the 12th and August rainfall totals, by
the 12th, will be well above average for many areas. The SE will fare
better than the NW in terms of enjoing whatever warmth will be
available up to the 12th. The West and tghe NW will be very wet at
times.

I think the weather pattern is morphing into a zonal pattern which
will be difficult to escape from as August progresses. Enjoy the
warmth Tues-Thurs next week, if you can escape the rain. Hope for a
few brief repites in ridges and approaching lows drawing up warmer
air, a la this week and next week.....unless you like the rain, of
course. All rather depressing.

Paul
