It may have rained heavily in some parts of Scotland, but it has
not been universally wet. It was warm and sunny here all afternoon after a dull morning with some light drizzle. I flew in bright sunshine, and below clouds whose bases were a mere 2500 or so feet above sea level. It rained briefly in the early evening but has dried up again now. Anne On the sunny southern shores of the Moray Firth, and a very long way from Fair Isle. |

I got back yesterday from a glorious week in the NW Highlands. Saw no more than a spot of drizzle on two mornings. |
