Brussels on Wednesday 13th August

Morning rather cloudy and breezy with occasional sunny intervals.
Longer sunny spells and broken Cu from around midday but very windy in
the early afternoon - strong gusts with twigs and leaves blown from
trees.

Brief (3 minutes or so) very heavy shower at 15.15 local time from a
large Cb. After a short bright spell another large Cb moved over:
frequent and often quite loud thunder from about 15.50 to 16.15,
though I only saw a single flash of lightning, together with gusty
wind, bursts of heavy rain and a sharp drop in temperature.

Storm moved away after 16.15 and the rest of the day was bright with
spells of sunshine and an almost clear sky in the evening. Fresh SW
wind died down somewhat in the evening.

Brussels Uccle 20.5°C - overnight minimum 13.5°C - and 7 mm rain.
Brussels Airport 20.7°C - overnight minimum 13.2°C - and 4 mm.
