Raunds East Northants. Violent rain.
41.7mm in the 24hrs to 09z Sun 7th September. Worst of the rain
fell between 2250z Saturday and 00z Sunday with 29.8mm recorded in a std 5" gauge during that 80 minute period. Rain MTD 74.5mm. Ian, Raunds, East Northants. 63m amsl. NGR SP9972 |

I was there on Saturday evening but in Stratford during the day R Hi Robin, Cant find a figure for Bedford for the same period (neglected to check Weatheronline at 09z Sun) Looks considerably less, Roger Brugge's stite has 11.0mm for 18z Sat to 06z Sun. The rainfall seems to have been very localised. Northampton (Pitsford Hall) recorded 32.7 in the 24 hrs to 09z Sun, and Stanwick (AWS) 2 km to my SW recorded 34.1mm between 23z Sat and 09z Sun.
