Here we go again!
Sunshine from dusk and gin clear. Misty/foggy at the moment lower down.
Temperature 12.4C
Very little wind.

Shorts and tee-shirt for today's long walk, must remember the sun cream too!

Been up and around Haytor today Will. Low cloud and sunshine. When the
cloud closed in, visibility fell below 100m. When the breeze shifted
the cloud, marvellous visibility and warm sunshine. 20C and sun all
the way in Torquay now. Terrific October weather. Gave you an
honourable wave on the website!

I think this is pretty universal and surprising not more people exstatic
about it after the summer. It's been wall to wall sunshine here every day
for a week now at least, after the early morning mist clears, and
temperatures reaching the low twenties on several days. Easily the best
weather of 2008!

Fog finally cleared in Teignmouth about 13:30, the temperatures
reached circa 19c / 20c, with lots of families out walking along the
promenade, and even a few people in the sea swimming.

More like early September than mid October.

er come on now Slight exaggeration! Not true. It started being really nice
on Wednesday last but Thursd and Friday had fair weather cloud and much more
wind. Still very nice however. Only Saturday and of course today was it
unbroken sunshine and THAT after early mist that rose into low cloud burned
off. I admit both weekend days were stunning. Today was exceptional.

Easily the best weather of 2008!

I do agree, where was this when we needed it in June July and August?

It was stunning in Dorset and I had three hours of climbing down at
Dancing Ledge near Swanage. What a terrific county - none of the foggy
dullness of the SE
