Today's max here 22.9°C - highest for the date for exactly 30 years,
when 23.6°C was reached on 12 Oct 1978, the only higher for 12 October since local records commenced in 1959. Unbroken sunshine following the clearance of thick fog at 1115 UTC. The latest date for 22°C or 23°C being reached is only one day later (13 October 2001, 23.2°C). This is also higher than any day in September this year (highest max 20.9°C on 20th).
