Correction to Rainfall from Southcote
Just had a 'senior moment'
Forgot to subtract the 10mm added to raingauge to melt the snow. Not used to recording snow these days. Rainfall (09 - 09) should be 12.2mm Eric Belton |

Not used to recording snow these days. .... had the same problem here with the hail to melt - had to add 6 mm to the gauge to encourage it to melt, before the lot froze in the collector! Very small 'drifts' of hail left over this morning - otherwise a cracking start to the day - crystal blue sky and temperature climbing smartly from an overnight low of -1.3°C, which is a remarkably low air min given our very enclosed garden.
