Default Northampton request

Can one of the local observers please post the amount of rain that fell in
Northampton this evening? Just taken the dog out, and I've never, in 25
years, seen so much water lying on the football pitches up here (Eastern
side of town). Over 4 inches at one end across the goal mouth and penalty
area. God help us if they play on that tomorrow morning!

hi

Event total at my site (Collingtree Park) was 18.8mm. Not a large
amount, the stream at the bottom of my garden (Wooton Brook) is fairly
high this morning. I guess the ground is now fairly saturated aiding
standing water.

Cheers Sean

Hmmm. Thanks. They played footy on the field this morning. Only fit for mud
wrestling now. Poor old dog had to pick her way through the slime earlier,
gave it up as a bad job, and refused to go anywhere near it on the second
lap!

The Billing Brook is as high as I have ever seen it up near Overstone.
Ground saturation sounds about right.

Regards jbm
