I remember reading some time ago about an algorithm for generating a
weather forecast from the sort of information that an AWS provides. I think it used various factors, including your location, and came up with a single number which was then used to look up one of a hundred or so fixed lines of text. This appears to be how the Davis VP2 comes up with its forecasts, but I don't know if it uses the same algorithm. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? -- Steve Loft Sanday, Orkney. 5m ASL. http://sanday.org.uk/weather Free weather station softwa http://sandaysoft.com/ uk.sci.weather FAQs/glossary/etc: http://weatherfaqs.org.uk/ |
