Enjoy today. Temperature is currently at 11.8C - I doubt if it'll reach
that again for some time, from what I can see in the charts ;-) Dave |

This does seem to have been a year of repeated cold outbreaks, ever since March - can't think of a year with such a tendency for a long time. Nick |

Harsh cold stuff but for some illogical reason so many wonderful deeply embedded emotions and memories. Yes I know it's late November but a winter like 78/79 would be just fine by me. |

I know that for some cold weather is enjoyable on a personal level but generally the problems for many are so obvious that I won't list them. Winter wouldn't be winter without some cold spells - but I hope they're brief. - just enough to kill off a few nasty bugs and insects. Regards John |

Plenty of scope for those blocking highs to drift in to the wrong place and end up with dull, damp, grey 6 deg C. :-( The ever optimistic, Dave. |

Regards John ---------------------- Your points are valid John, I agree. Having just missed 1947 and enjoyed 1963 as a thirteen year old I would probably be one that would suffer (especially with me dodgy arthritic knees!) but I would just like to see what it would be like in the modern era, compared to then. Dave Not wanting to put a damper on things, but in my experience a cold snap late November certainly does not mean a cold winter, in fact quite the reverse.
