snip Rain 14.6mm last 24hrs .... fine/strong sunshine here - as it has been since ~0845Z: total rainfall in last 24hr (to 09Z) = 13.3 mm, but non-standard site. Plenty of large puddles on a journey to/from Poole this morning, but otherwise it's not a bad morning! Plenty of large puddles on a journey to/from Poole this morning, but otherwise it's not a bad morning! Beautiful here now too, with only a few large grey clouds. Just been down to Bridport via Beaminster. Going south the recent rain and continuing runoff from the fields on to the road made driving against the sun really hazardous from the dazzle. But at least going through the puddles fended off the tailgaters! Hugh -- Hugh Newbury www.evershot-weather.org |

My attention was to the rear of the house where a large rat, fresh in from the fields, had to be removed. It was dealt a fatal blow by the long gadget used (normally) to reach way down from road level to turn off the stop cock. R |
