Heavy hoar frost this morning on grass and rooves but
none on trees. There's none on my car either because it's in the garage :-) Some sparkling on the lanes which is suggestive of patchy ice. Misty, most noticeable to the northeast but no sign of fog. A bright sunny day with the frost persisting in the shade.
The frost has consolidated this evening and it looks as if someone has thrown glitter onto the pavement. Patches of fog are forming to the south and west of Romsey but the light northeast drift is keeping it at bay. -------------------------------------------------------- SYNOP 07/0850Z 03/// 41940 10202 11035 21039 40285 52015 71000 80001 333 81078 92612= -------------------------------------------------------- SYNOP 07/2050Z (current ob) 03/// 41920 70502 11017 21019 40290 54000 74011 80006 333 87275 92611 99020= METAR EG// 072050Z 05002KT 2000 VCFG BKN250 M02/M02 Q//// YLO2= Details: wind... Subtle changes have taken place in the last hour. The fog
patches to the south and west are dispersing while another has cropped up to the northwest. The CI/CS sheet is still moving across the sky from the northwest but I have just spotted some thin SC cross the moon from what appears to be the opposite direction. Very uncertain of its height but looks lowish, so I'll plump for 3000ft. -------------------------------------------------------- SYNOP 07/0850Z 03/// 41940 10202 11035 21039 40285 52015 71000 80001 333 81078 92612= -------------------------------------------------------- SYNOP 07/2050Z 03/// 41920 70502 11017 21019 40290 54000 74011 80006 333 87275 92611 99020= -------------------------------------------------------- SYNOP 07/2150Z (current ob) 03/// 41625 70402 11018 21020 40285 58005 74022 82508 333 82630 87275 92611 99020= METAR EG// 072150Z 04002KT 2500 VCFG FEW030 BKN250 M02/M02 Q//// YLO1= Details: wind...
