Default unusually mild weather in western Russia

I was dozing in bed this morning at about 0430, half listening to radio 5
Live when I suddenly became aware that John Hammond was talking about the
weather. He was commenting on the unseasonally high temperatures in western
Russia and mentioned that Moscow had one of its warmest December days on
record yesterday with a max ( I think) of 9.3c. He suggested that the
unusually mild weather was likely to continue for a few more days.

I seem to remember that Moscow had record breaking high temperatures in
January or February last winter.

Zonality on the way for the run up to Christmas, I reckon that's all

I think your wrong , cold upto new year,as long as its warm in siberia and
moscow it will be cold here, just a repositioning of the sinusoidal wave that
sweeps pressure systems west to east.
