1830

A pleasant, if rather quiet winters day.
Early frost gave way to sunshine but with low cloud at times which looked
like promising a shower but was very thin. Cloud cleared to give sunny
breaks and it stayed dry with light winds.

Max. 4.4C
Min. 0.0C

It has been cloudy but also quite quiet up here in Bedford. I am
returning to Dorset ( the glorious SW-just) on Wednesday for a week
before Christmas up here. It looks like a relatively uneventful week
or so coming up but hopefully breezy later next week when I would like
to do a spot of climbing down at Dancing Ledge - breezy in that
combined with high tide, there is something of interest behind me as
it were. We are staying down in Cornwall for four days not far from
Sennen Cove from the 28th so I am really hoping for a gale so I can
see for real some of the fantastic photos linked to this newsgroup!

Hi, you may be lucky. Present indications are for a cold and quiet Christmas
period with high pressure, but it is a long way off yet.

Cheers,

Will

Will, do you think that you could enable the Outlook Express setting
that tells it to precede quoted material by a chevron? It would make it
much easier to discern which parts of your posts are new material and
which are quoted.

Hi John, I have that set, you see it works with your post, unfortunately it
does not work with google groups format. At least I don't know how to make
it work. It only happens with those who post via google and not a proper
news client. Sorry, but unless someone helps me there is nothing I can do
using Outlook Express.

Will - A small add on to Outlook Express that will cure those problems is
Quotefix.

Here's a summary of what it can do.

The latest version can be downloaded here.
