Default Penzance - Bright, Mild, Daffs in bloom

Cloud thinner today with shafts of sunshine. Pleasant enough in light
winds. Max temperature 10.4C

Some proper daffodils in full bloom now, earlier than last year. The
sunshine earlier in the month warmed south facing slopes near the sea
and got them going.

A couple of Pics taken today at www.turnstone-cottage.co.uk/recent.html
of daffodils on a south facing bank right next to the sea.

(re pics) - Yeah, Blair gets everywhere, doesn't he? More
disturbing is the geezer from the Orange Order in the foreground.

I don't have personal experience of that sort of thing but I think you can get
ointment for it.

They always get daffs before Christmas in the far West of Cornwall,
the reports are on BBC Spotlight every year.

Not always by any means. It's been common in recent years (but I
didn't see any before the New Year last winter). Different for Sols of
course, they are in bloom on Scilly from late October and reporters
call them daffodils when they want a a global warming Christmas news
story.

"Early Sensation" daffodils have been blooming in Perranwell Station
village since 10th December.
There's an (old) article about them here http://tinyurl.com/8z99mu

Merry Christmas everybody.
