Cloud thinner today with shafts of sunshine. Pleasant enough in light
winds. Max temperature 10.4C Some proper daffodils in full bloom now, earlier than last year. The sunshine earlier in the month warmed south facing slopes near the sea and got them going. They always get daffs before Christmas in the far West of Cornwall,
the reports are on BBC Spotlight every year. |

Different for Sols of course, they are in bloom on Scilly from late October and reporters call them daffodils when they want a a global warming Christmas news story. "Early Sensation" daffodils have been blooming in Perranwell Station village since 10th December.
