I some of you are just giving 'tongue in cheek' comments, but this is
not what it's all about and it doing nothing but harm to all of us.

It?

Are you saying He is God?

For if he is Jehovah, where is his claim to omniscience in the
statement it gave?

Those graphics are so much better than what we have now, especially the
temperature contours.

And to think the software that produced the contour maps for the BBC was
mostly written about thirty years ago.

Thanks for that link. Even down in Cornwall the mins. were forecast to
be -7C!
I also noticed how Ian talked about several *inches* of snow rather than the
several *centimetres* we hear nowadays.

Default What do the cold lovers want?

"Will Hand" wrote in message

I'm at a bit of a loss to know what the cold lovers want? It is now
turning very cold for the time of year and yet folk still seem to want
more? I know there is no snow on offer in the immediate future but we have
known that for a while. Also one high cell *has* to sink south to let the
very cold arctic surge come in, so you will see southwesterlies on some
runs but they will not be tropical maritime southwesterlies. Nothing has
changed since yesterday, the broad picture is still there with potentially
the best winter cold scenario we have had for years with a distorted and
very stubborn omega block in place!

But if you tell me what you want I'll see what I can do :-))

It's not really cold yet.

I remember the winters of my childhood in NE England, when the paths and
playgrounds remained covered in thick ice/snow which we kids would turn into
'slides' taking turns to see who could slide the furthest. When we were
still expected to go to school - sitting in class wearing our scarves &
gloves - and still chucked outside on the playground during break & lunch,
to make more slides... When there was a thick layer of ice on the inside of
the glass on the windows at home & school. When on the walk home from
school, you'd be playing at snowballs and the snow would turn your hands
frozen so that once you got inside at home, they'd turn red & ache as they
thawed out. And how the field at the back of the house would be covered in
many inches of snow and we'd all get our sleds out to play on. And it was
great *fun*.

PS I like eggs, yum yum :-))

One of my hens is still laying. The other is in full moult so has stopped
for the duration. The eggs are delicious.
