UK Outlook for Monday 5 Jan 2009 to Wednesday 14 Jan 2009:
There is High confidence for the cold spell to continue well into next
week, though details on the weather from place to place will be very
difficult to pin down. However, a generally dry scenario seems likely
with variable cloud and some sunshine by day, but also frost and fog
overnight which may persist in places throughout any given day. Some
rain or showers are likely early next week, especially near some eastern
coasts, and also across parts of the south and southwest, perhaps
turning to sleet or snow in places. Later in the period, there are
indications that less cold weather may become established from the north
with stronger westerly winds bringing milder air in off the Atlantic,
though confidence for this presently is Low.

Still room for doubts then by the look..

And it looks like the very mild 06Z GFS is a total outlier, I think.
